Ivan is an APA Sports Physiotherapist who has been working with the Australian Institute of Sport since 2005. He has degrees in physiotherapy and sports science, including a Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy. He is currently works part time with Swimming Australia in the role of Manager of Clinical Services (Physiotherapy). The remainder of his time is spent with Queensland Sports Medicine Centre.
For seven years Ivan held the position of Sports Medicine Coordinator and Lead Physiotherapist for the National Rowing Centre of Excellence, based in Canberra. He has also worked as Sports Physiotherapist to the AIS Diving Program.
Ivan has been selected to be Team Physiotherapist on the Australian Olympic Team for Rio 2016. This will be his 5th Olympic Games with the Australian Olympic Team which is a unique achievement. He was physiotherapist on Australian Rowing Teams for 16 years and has also worked with Australian Kayaking and Australian Diving teams.
Ivan has served on Nationals Committees for Sports Physiotherapy Australia including being Chairman from 2009-2012.
