Laura is a Sports Physiotherapist with over 10 years experience working in sport and with elite sporting teams. She completed her Masters in 2007 at the University of Queensland and worked in 2008 as the post graduate scholar at the Australian Institute of Sport. She has worked with a wide variety of Australian olympic level teams touring extensively domestically and internationally. Laura is presently one of the touring physiotherapists for the Australian Swimming Team, a QAS service provider for swimming and rowing and further to this has worked as a clinical educator at Australian Catholic University.
With a special interest in shoulders, Laura is currently undertaking a PhD on risk factors for shoulder injury in Australian Rules football. She has also completed research and published papers on swimmer’s shoulder and on growth plate changes to the throwing arm in volleyball players.
Laura has represented at both a State and National level in the sport of golf and she enjoys boxing and cycling.
