Marguerite King (nee Houston) is an APA Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a clinical interest in sporting injuries. Marguerite has a dual Masters degree in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. In 2011, she was the recipient of the Vasyli Prize for the highest academic achievement in the Sports Physiotherapy program.

From 2012 until her recent move back to Brisbane, Marguerite worked in private practice in Sydney. She worked with numerous shoulder orthopaedic specialists and sports physicians on the conservative management and rehabilitation of complex shoulder cases.

In addition, Marguerite was the preferred physiotherapy provider for several large private school rowing programs. She was the physiotherapist for the Shore School rowing program and a rowing physiotherapy provider for the NSW Institute of Sport. She ran the injury prevention programs for the Loreto Kirribilli and Queenwood School for Girls rowing progams.

Marguerite is part of the preferred physiotherapy provider network of Rowing Australia. She was the Australian under 21 rowing team physiotherapist in 2013 and 2016.

Marguerite was a member of the Australian rowing team from 2002 until 2008, winning two world championships during that period. She competed in the Beijing Olympics in the lightweight double scull.

When she is not working, Marguerite enjoys cycling, rowing, sailing and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
