QSMC is a well-established, multi-disciplinary physiotherapy, medical, health and fitness practice. We’re seeking an experienced, confident, professional and enthusiastic full-time receptionist to join our team. In what can sometimes be a busy practice, you must be able to thrive under pressure and problem solve proactively.

We’re looking for an ambitious team member who is a quick learner, is adaptable and has the desire for their position to develop into a senior role. You must also have a genuine care for providing great customer service to our entire client base. 

Our two clinics, which are also home to fully functioning gyms, are located in the convenient Brisbane locations of Woolloongabba and Bowen Hills. The preferable candidate will ideally have 3 or more years of front desk or medical administration experience, outstanding customer service, and computer and literacy skills. 

You would be joining a team of very friendly and knowledgeable medical professionals; as well as a fun, bubbly and warm admin team.
We’re inviting applicants with the following skills to apply:

  • 3 years previous reception experience
  • Excellent customer service
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact well with diverse personalities whilst being assertive, tactful, mature, and flexible
  • Knowledge of patient billing – both Medicare and private health funds
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to work well as part of a highly functional team
  • Ability to show initiative while working autonomously
  • Attention to detail
  • Desire and ambition for development into a senior role within the organisation

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Attending to numerous incoming calls
  • Processing patient billing and receipting
  • Assist with management of ageing debts
  • Updating and maintaining patient records
  • General administration support and organisation
  • Liaising with clinicians and third parties
  • Management of medical supplies
  • Processing health fund claims and payments
