B. Ex SS (ClinExPhys), ESSAM, AEP, FMS LV 1
Mitch is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. He graduated from the University of QLD in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science, majoring in Clinical Exercise Physiology. For the past 7 years, Mitch has been working in Port Macquarie at a multidisciplinary allied health clinic. During his time here, he gained experience across a wide range of fields including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, sport-specific training, strength and conditioning, neurological disorders, disability services and chronic disease management.
He thoroughly enjoys working with athletes of all levels, from professional to recreational, and assisting them in achieving their goals. He had a large role in delivering the Junior Athlete Sponsorship Program in Port Macquarie that saw him managing many young athletes. This involved working with them through injury rehabilitation and strength and conditioning to help them achieve their optimal sporting performance. Mitch has experience working with athletes across numerous sports including baseball, basketball, rugby union, track, golf, cricket and soccer.
Mitch has a keen interest in the post-surgical and return to sport management of athletes. He has done further studies in knee (specifically ACL) and shoulder rehabilitation. He is passionate about reducing the number of injuries in sport and bridging the gap between rehabilitation and return to sports programming and testing.
Mitch treats from both our Woolloongabba and Bowen Hills locations.
