Tim Oostenbroek

Tim Oostenbroek is a Specialist Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2022). He is currently the Technical Lead at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) supporting a team of 24 physiotherapists in the delivery of world class Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy to the best athletes in Queensland.

He directly supports the QAS Cycling and Golf programs. Tim has worked extensively in professional sport and private practice. As a highlight, he was the Head of Medical and Physiotherapy Services at Brisbane Roar from 2009 – 2015 winning two (2) A-League premierships and three (3) A-League Championships and breaking the record for the longest period without losing in Australian domestic sport (36 matches). He has previously worked with Queensland Cricket, the Queensland Reds, National teams within Football Federation Australia and development programs with AFL Queensland. Tim is also a published co-author in Injury Prevention.

Tim has a strong interest in management of complex injury presentations and enjoys the challenge of helping athletes to fulfil their athletic potential. He has a particular interest in hip and groin pathology, the shoulder and tendinopathies of the lower limb. He also enjoys working with athletes in post-surgical rehabilitation and in guiding their recovery in the initial stages through to late stage return to sport using progressive exercise interventions and evidence-based return to sport guidelines.
