James Grimm

James joins QSMC with 6 years of private practice experience. James graduated from the University of Wollongong with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2013 before completing his Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2015. Since then, James has completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2021 and is currently undergoing his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland.

James was previously a Track and Field sprinter, having represented Australia. He has also spent three months training in Houston, Texas under world-renowned coach Tom Tellez and mentoring from one of his star athletes, Carl Lewis. This gave James not only an advanced knowledge in sprinting mechanics but also an appreciation of the training loads used by world record-holding sprinters. James also played representative AFL, Rugby and Touch football in his teen years.

James has a particular interest in sports and running injuries. Having been through surgeries and rehab throughout his athletic career, he knows what it is like to be set back. James has a strong belief in keeping people as active as possible throughout their rehabilitation to reduce the complications when returning to their activity.
