Tim Oostenbroek

Tim Oostenbroek is a Specialist Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association 2022) with extensive experience in elite sport and complex injury management. Since 2022, he has worked as the Lead Physiotherapist at the Queensland Academy of Sport, supporting Australia’s top Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Tim’s career spans several high-performance programs, including his role as Head Physiotherapist for the Brisbane Roar Football Club from 2009 to 2015, as well as previous positions with Football Australia, AFL Queensland, Queensland Cricket, and the Queensland Reds.

He has a strong interest in the assessment and management of complex injuries and takes pride in helping athletes achieve their full potential. His clinical areas of focus include hip and groin pathology, shoulder injuries, and tendinopathies of the lower limb.

I enjoy treating sporting-related injuries, particularly those involving the hip and groin, knee, foot and ankle, tendinopathies, and shoulder conditions.

My first role as a physiotherapist was within the Royal Brisbane Hospital Graduate Program.

I enjoy watching football (soccer) and cricket, and always support the Australian team.

I’ve played both football and cricket.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

While I’m not allowed my first choice, coffee is usually my go-to.

Working with the Brisbane Roar FC and contributing to the club’s success in winning two Premiership Plates and three League Championship titles.
