Alannah Mathews is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who brings an exceptional level of elite high-performance experience to the QSMC team, having proudly represented Australia in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Her journey as an international athlete provided her with firsthand insights into the complexities of injury management and high-level performance. Alannah seamlessly translates this lived experience into her clinical practice, utilising her deep understanding of movement mechanics to empower clients across all spectrums of physical health.
In her clinical practice, Alannah focuses heavily on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and neurological conditions. She takes particular pride in tailoring strength and conditioning frameworks for aesthetic and performance athletes, with substantial experience working with individuals in gymnastics, dance, ballet, acrobatics, and circus arts. Whether she is guiding clients through pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation or developing targeted programs for NDIS participants, Alannah ensures every individual receives highly structured, evidence-based care. For clients under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) framework, DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
Alannah holds a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Demonstrating strong clinical leadership, she spearheaded the development of a highly successful QSMC group program dedicated to healthy ageing, function, and longevity in older adults. Her professional versatility also spans Pilates instruction, where she integrates both 1:1 and double Reformer Pilates sessions to enhance movement quality and core stability for her clients.
