Geoff de Jager is a Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who brings a wealth of high-performance expertise to the QSMC Team. Geoff’s career includes significant experience in elite environments, including his role as a physiotherapist at a UK Air Force Base. Throughout his career, Geoff has worked with premier sporting organisations. Notably, he has provided physiotherapy services for the Brisbane Bullets, Brisbane Lions, and V8 Supercars.
Geoff is passionate about supporting active adults and athletes. These range from “weekend warriors” to elite competitors. In doing so, he helps them work towards their specific performance goals. He has a particular interest in managing complex cases and post-surgical rehabilitation. In particular, his clinical focus includes lower limb biomechanics and spinal health. His “bread and butter” expertise covers many conditions. Specifically, neck and back pain, shoulder pain and injuries, knee and patello-femoral pain, and ankle sprains.
A career highlight includes supporting the rehabilitation and performance needs of a Winter Olympian on their journey to achieving a Silver medal. This achievement reflects his commitment to evidence-based rehabilitation and performance optimisation. His clinical approach is informed by a diverse background. For instance, he has worked with and supported athletes in sports such as basketball, tennis, cricket, soccer, rugby league, rugby union and surf sports.
