Shane Lemcke

Shane is an APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and a Director at QSMC. He completed both his Masters of Physiotherapy (Sports) and undergraduate Physiotherapy degrees at the University of Queensland. Shane has been involved in a variety of elite sports, both professional and amateur, throughout his career.

Some of Shane’s career highlights include attending 2 Olympic games, 2 World Athletic Championships, and a Commonwealth Games as part of the Australian Track and Field team, and another Commonwealth Games as Physiotherapist and Team Manager of the Squash team. He worked for the Brisbane Lions football club for 12 years, of which 7 years he had the role of head Physio and Medical Coordinator. Currently Shane is the lead physiotherapist for the QAS and Australian Women’s Beach Volleyball team. He attended the World Championships in 2022 and will continue to work with the team leading up to the 2024 Olympics. 

Shane has extensive experience in treating sporting populations and enjoys using the skills he has developed treating elite athletes and teams and applying them to all of his clients at QSMC. He enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, but has a particular interest in injuries from running based sports, and hip, groin and hamstring injuries.
