The road to recovery from an ACL injury can be long, frustrating, and mentally challenging, especially for young athletes eager to return to the sports they love. With the intensity of youth competition, year-round training schedules and the busy day-to-day life of a teenager, proper rehabilitation is critical to ensure a complete and safe recovery.
That’s why we’re introducing our Adolescent ACL Rehabilitation Class: a structured, progressive program designed specifically for youth navigating post-injury recovery.
With age-appropriate programming, expert guidance, and a peer-supported environment, the class aims to build resilient young athletes who are stronger, more balanced, and better prepared to return to sport.
Led by Exercise Physiologist Eddie Hess, our Adolescent ACL Rehab Classes are purpose-built for young individuals recovering from ACL injuries – whether postoperative or through conservative management – at any stage of their rehab journey.
Each participant receives individual programming, and progress is monitored through initial assessments and 6-8 week reassessments. Classes are designed to encourage social engagement and peer support, with a focus on promoting recovery and rehabilitation through exercise and education.
Combining evidence-based rehabilitation with peer support, the ACL rehabilitation program will look to:
- Promote recovery
- Increase strength and mobility
- Build resilience
- Restore confidence through movement and education
Each participant will receive ongoing instruction in proper exercise technique and safe training practices tailored specifically to the needs of growing, developing athletes. This not only supports physical recovery but also empowers young athletes with the knowledge and confidence to train smart, reduce the risk of reinjury, and take ownership of their long-term athletic development.
